Homemade Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies

*2 sticks butter-softened
*1 1/4 cup brown sugar
*3/4 cup brown sugar
*2 tsp. vanilla extract
*2 eggs
*1 1/2 cups flour
*1/2 tsp. baking powder
*1/2 tsp. salt
*3 cups old fashioned oats
*Add ins (if you choose….I had 1/2 a bag of Hershey Dark Chocolate Chips so I just threw those in there).

Preheat oven to 350
Beat sugars, butter, and vanilla with electric mixer until creamy.
Add eggs and beat until fluffy
Add flour, baking powder, and salt and beat on LOW until well blended
Stir in oats and any additions. Blend all together
Form into balls (about a tablespoon size…or two tablespoons if you like) and place on sprayed cookie sheet
Bake 16-18 minutes
Let cool
Remove from cookie sheet
Eat and enjoy!!

Makes about 3 dozen cookies
